Something incredibly significant with biblical repercussions is happening.

- The Sanhedrin, from the time of Jesus, forced to be disbanded not long after Jesus time on earth, has remarkably been re-instituted a few years ago.

- The preparation for the Third Temple rebuilding is underway, whereby many of the utensils are ready.

- Sanhedrin celebrated Hanukkah 2018, involving animal sacrifice (done elsewhere), use of the Altar and various rituals from the Old Testament.

- Sanhedrin calls on 70 nations of the world to join in celebrating Hanukkah. This is based on God using the Jews to be the light of the world. Other sources also claimed the Sanhedrin drafting a united world agreement to teach biblical values to the world.

Sign of Jonah

There have been various explanations of the mysterious phrase "Sign of Jonah"

Recently however, with the news of the Eclipse of Aug 2017, there are other interpretations that the sign of Jonah could be the Eclipse that happened around 763BC (fact check please). During that period there were wars and disease outbreak in Nineveh. So these events plus the eclipse may cause the Ninevites to have a repentant heart just before Jonah arrived. So the sign here is pointing to the eclipse as the sign of Jonah. This seems a very plausible explanation.

However, the Word of God (ie the Bible), can stand alone, although it can be verified by external facts. So using the Bible to explain itself, here is the original passage:

Luke 11:29-32 The Sign of Jonah
29 As the crowds increased, Jesus said, “This is a wicked generation. It asks for a sign, but none will be given it except the sign of Jonah. 30 For as Jonah was a sign to the Ninevites, so also will the Son of Man be to this generation. 31 The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with the people of this generation and condemn them, for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom; and now something greater than Solomon is here. 32 The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it, for they repented at the preaching of Jonah; and now something greater than Jonah is here.

Matthew 12:39-42

The article above relates to something written by a current catholic philosopher on the current Pope. This article is not about the prophecy of the Popes. However this independent writing seems to be pointing to signs that make the prophecy seem plausible.

The theologians shall do their work, but the shepherds shall not pay much attention to them. It seems to me that he does not read much, and does not care much about theology.

Spaemann, as well as his colleague, Joas, both express in this interview their critique of Pope Francis' sometimes “autocratic” methods and leadership. Spaemann says:

“The pope has the unrestricted power of definition and also the full jurisdiction, something that the Orthodoxy for example completely rejects. Francis stresses that he can directly intervene in every diocese of the world.

Pope visits the ancient idolatrous ancient city of Ur in Chaldea, modern day Iraq. Why would the Pope visit such city, if God Himself called Abraham out of the city. One of the ancient ruins still standing today is the Ziggurat, which may be in the Papal itinerary.
