Science catching up to God's Word - Age Limit

Science catching up to God's Word - Age Limit

3 And the Lord said, “My Spirit shall not strive[a] with man forever, for he is indeed flesh; yet his days shall be one hundred and twenty years.”

Now science has shown the following:
https://gizmodo.com/why-the-human-lifespan-ends-at-122-1787412178/amp

Two quotes from the article:
"The oldest human to have ever lived died at the age of 122—and that was nearly 20 years ago. A recent analysis of global demographic data suggests this may very well be the maximum age attainable by humans, and that it’s extremely unlikely anyone will ever live much beyond this advanced age."

"molecular geneticist Jan Vijg and his team from the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in the Bronx make the case that human lifespan has a natural limit, and that we’ll probably never exceed this maximum bound."

The researchers are contemplating the idea of a natural limit of life, and statistics so far point suggest 120 years. The oldest person being 122 years probably fall within statistical error or could even be error in records. Though this limit does not appear to be scientifically conclusive and the scientist still talk about extending life since they do not know about God's limit, it is still interesting in that scientific facts so far do point to God's limit.

Pokemon Craze - from the spiritual perspective.

Update 20160723

Oliver has a similar idea ......

Original
----------------
The Pokemon Go is all over the news over the last week in Australia and longer in the US. Yet more countries will follow soon shortly. I was out in the park for brief period of time over 4 days this week and saw some groups of people lurking - and realized, after hearing the news, that they must be playing the app. I was curious about the App and almost downloaded it, but was just to busy with other things.

Anyway, had a casual discussion with my relative and he alerted my to this, please have a read:

So after reading that, more thoughts grew in my head and I did more googling, and decided to share some findings here. A few other interesting links are here below. Note that the Pokemon cartoon is not new - has been around since 1997.

https://carm.org/what-is-pokemon
This is a very good article citing Biblical perspectives. There was no stretching of the Scriptures at all to argue the case against Pokemon, it was so plain and clear. It is easy to overlook some of these until it is pointed out.

I have not heard about this one until now. Does this bring up the idea of 'possessed'?

Now even for the non-Believer, here are some more thoughts.
1. It is creating an army of zombies out of the players.

2. Real cases of injuries only starting....

3. Lure groups of people into one location - jackpot for robbers
https://www.theguardian.com/technology/2016/jul/10/pokemon-go-armed-robbers-dead-body
Seriously, these are just small scale baddies. Extend this thought to, say Dr. Evil, who thinks on a much larger scale, with a more popular app.

4. Again on the larger scale, something that can be done with technology even a few years ago. Anyone who is familiar with X-Men, knows the story of Prof Xavier developing a technology that can help him pin point all the individuals. Essentially given a list of people with a certain profile, the technology is available to know exactly where on earth these individuals are at this point in time. This technology (smartphones) has been with us a few years now - not science fiction.

Could Revelations Locusts be remote controlled cyborgs?

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/science/science-news/12206432/Giant-remote-controlled-cyborg-beetles-could-replace-drones.html

The 'cyborg' beetle captured during flight
Ok so these are beetles and not locusts, but it is not a big step to change insects -

Revelations 9
Fifth Trumpet: The Locusts from the Bottomless Pit
Then the fifth angel sounded: And I saw a star fallen from heaven to the earth. To him was given the key to the bottomless pit. 2 And he opened the bottomless pit, and smoke arose out of the pit like the smoke of a great furnace. So the sun and the air were darkened because of the smoke of the pit. 3 Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4 They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. 5 And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. 6 In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.7 The shape of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle. On their heads were crowns of something like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. 8 They had hair like women’s hair, and their teeth were like lions’ teeth.

Blood Moon, Shemitah and the Beginning of a Financial Crisis

For a few years leading to 2014-2015, there has been an anticipation of climatic events based on extra-Biblical topics centered around the
i) Blood Moons
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Blood_moon_prophecy
ii) The Shemitah Years
http://www.shemitah-blood-moons.net/events.html

No one knows exactly what events will occur but generally, people expected events that will span across various areas and one such area is the financial markets. And so, having heard all this leading up to Sep 2015, I was keenly watching the Financial Markets. Then September and October came and gone with not much of  a Financial Impact and other areas were quite stable too. It seems like there was no major cataclysmic worldwide events.

Now February 2016, there has been a sizeable drop in the sharemarket, which by itself is not ground-breaking. However, looking back over a 1-year period, and looking at several major Stock Indices around the world, (see below), the world markets has definitely been on a downward slide. What's more interesting is the timing,

It appears that before 2015, the market has been doing quite well, then there is a drop between Sep and Oct 2015. Again, for a person living in Oct 2015, there is still no evidence of a market downturn, because the markets moved up again after Oct 2015. It's only now with hindsight, we can see that the Sep-Oct 2015 dip is the mark of the beginning of instability in the markets. The graphs below show the Sep-Oct 2015 dip very clearly and the market recovery after that is a false one. At present the downward trend is has the potential for a much deeper drop..... Keep Watch.

There are no aliens.

http://www.abc.net.au/news/2016-01-27/parkes-astronomists-unfazed-aliens-could-already-be-extinct/7116256

Here is a news article trying to explain away the fact that why we have not found aliens yet. Firstly, the reason people think there should be aliens is that there are so many stars in the universe. Because there is so many, there must be some which have planets, and among those planets there must be some that can have live, and among those planets with life, there must be some that have intelligent life like us humans. The argument is simply because there is really so so so many stars, even if the other conditions are just a fraction, then that fraction is still big enough for there to be intelligent life out there.

The Word of God that we have received from Moses up until the Revelation of Jesus Christ recorded by John, only talks about The Almighty God and his relationship with us humans, and also intelligent spiritual beings such as angels and fallen angels. There is no mention of other physical intelligent beings. One can argue that that does not rule out extra-terrestrial intelligent life forms, but simply that God does not need us to have contact even if He had also created them. This is plausible, but our speculation would not give any concrete answer, only God can answer that question.

Coming back down to earth, the fact is that we have not found any intelligent aliens. Aliens are not in God's plans otherwise He would have told us about it. We should do well in attending to the things emphasised by God through His Word and focussing on how we can serve Him here on Earth.

Update 1 Feb 2021
Various people contributed to the post above to recount UFO-related events all over the world. The description of these events defy natural explanations as well as multiple eyewitness accounts that cannot be dismissed easily.
